Frozen Protein Yogurt Bars with Berries

Ingredients

  • Low-fat quark250 g
  • Skyr natural250 g
  • Protein powder vanilla (whey or plant-based)30 g
  • Honey or maple syrup15 g
  • Fresh or frozen berry mix150 g
  • Almond flakes (optional)10 g

Preparation

  1. Stir low-fat quark, Skyr, protein powder, and honey/maple syrup in a bowl until smooth and lump-free.

  2. Wash the berries and roughly chop them if necessary. Fold half of the berries into the yogurt mixture.

  3. Line a small baking dish (approx. 20x15 cm) with parchment paper. Spread the yogurt mixture evenly in it.

  4. Distribute the remaining berries and optionally the almond slivers on the surface and press lightly.

  5. Place the dish in the freezer for at least 3-4 hours, or preferably overnight, until the mixture is completely frozen solid.

  6. Before serving, remove the frozen yogurt slab from the dish and cut it into about 6 equally sized bars. Enjoy immediately or refreeze.

💡 Tip: For a vegan option, you can use plant-based quark and Skyr alternatives, as well as plant-based protein powder. Experiment with different berries or add some lemon zest for a fresh note.
